Rader Texas Blue Bonnet Portrait
Originally I’m from California and when I was a teenager, along with my parents and siblings, we moved to East Texas. Initially, it was a hard adjustment going from the Silicon Valley to the small town life in rural Texas. It eventually grew on me and now I love Texas; especially the Dallas area. One of things I love about Dallas are the blue bonnets that pop up all over the side of the roads around the city. They provide the perfect setting for some great family portrait photography.
I’ve seen so many of my Texan friends get their “bluebonnet portrait”, and it was finally time for mine. So, this past Saturday my family and I headed out to find a nice patch of bluebonnets for our family portrait. Of course that included Bella, our sweet little chihuahua.

I knew of an excellent patch of them located right off of 635 just outside of Dallas near Coppell, Texas. Josh and Tanner usually love goofing off in front of the camera and showing me the funniest faces they can make. I pleaded with them to please just this one time give me some of their cute smiles, and thankfully they did.

Mimi as pretty as she is, I had to get a photo of her laying the bluebonnets. I think our family portrait photos turned out great. The kids smiled, Mimi looked as beautiful as ever, Bella amazingly looked at the camera with no one behind it, and I was able to jump into some of the photos.

Now I feel like an official Texan, a Texan by choice that is!
