The young man in the photo below is CJ, and the window above his head is where his bedroom used to be. His house was one of the worst hit houses in the Diamond Creek area. I spoke with his mother for a bit also. I asked her how she was doing and how she and her family were coping with the loss of their home. She said it was hard at first, but now they are trusting God because they believe He has a plan for their lives.

I met Dennis while he was picking up debris out of his backyard and swimming pool. I noticed that the inside of a section of his fence had the American Flag on it. I asked him if I could take a quick photo of him standing next to it. He immediately walked over to it and let me take this great pic of him.

Steve, in the photo below, doesn’t live in the area. He lives in Mesquite, but came over here to grill hotdogs and hamburgers and give out food to all the people affected by the tornado and those who were helping them clean up.

I also spoke with Anna Wheeler, the young woman helping clean up debris in the photo below. She and her family came out here to help other family members to clean and gather their important personal belongings.

While I was walking around taking photos a guy named Bill called me over just to offer his ladder and roof to me so I could get some great photos from a high vantage point of the aftermath left in their Forney community. While I was up there taking photos I also met Marcus. He took the day off of work to help his friend patch up their house, clean up, and start fixing it.

Chinese Gangster With Money

This is a series of cell phone photos posted on the anonymous photo website Imgur.com.

People believe they are from a cell phone of some Chinese gangster. As you look at them you will see his love for money, Porsche and a cute puppy. There are also a couple of photos depicting violence being done to other Chinese men.

The reason why I’m posting this is because I find these photos to be extremely intriguing. They obviously are not professional photos but they are amazing in the way the tell the story of this man’s life. You get to see a glimpse of his inner personal life and what he lives for. I feel like I already know the guy just from looking at these photos.

This shows that photography in its purest form is story telling and is beautiful in the way it tells stories.

I got back in my car and drove out to the Trinity River Levy. As I was driving out there I could see the storm getting closer and closer, my heart was pumping with excitement. I was just hoping I didn’t ruin my camera in the process.

I didn’t know what that circle of light was coming through the clouds, it looked a little eerie, but I figured if it was really dangerous I would see it do something and it never did.

I was able get this really cool shot of the Margaret Hill Bridge through the pillars of another bridge.

Once I got out there and on top of the levy the view was beautiful! So perfect. I love the Dallas Skyline. I found a great place to sit and take some photos. Here is the best one I was able to get of the storm hovering over the Dallas Skyline.

Then it suddenly started raining, I ran under a nearby bridge to save my new Nikon and while I was there another man walked over to hide under there as well. I said hello and introduced myself to him. His name was Jose, he was finding a place to sleep for the night out of the rain. I felt sad for him but I didn’t know what to do other than just be kind and friendly to him. He was very friendly to me as well. My Spanish speaking skills really came in handy here. I asked him if I could take a photo of him with the Dallas Skyline behind him. He was reluctant and asked me what I was going to do with the photo. I promised him it was only for me to remember the friend I met that night.

On my way back home I stopped and took a few more photos of Dallas in the midst of the storm. The Omni Dallas Hotel had really pretty lights all over it that made it look so cool in the rain with its reflection.

I bought an underwater housing for my camera so I could also take some really creative and unique photos of her underwater in her wedding dress. I thought that the Caribbean would be perfect for such photos because of the clarity of the water and the amazing blue hues it has.

While we were in Curacao I also took a lot of photos of beautiful tropical fish swimming around which I will post in the near future. I decided to have some fun with Mimi’s idea of how cool it would be to have fish swimming all around her while she was underwater in her wedding dress. I cut the fish out of many of my other photos and placed them in this photo with her. We think the photo turned out really cool and fun.

These black and white ones turned out really elegant and romantic. There is also something sensual about them to me as well.

On the last full day of our honeymoon in Curacao we rented a car and drove around the island visiting some amazing remote beaches. I found this beautiful beach hidden in between two cliffs with the sun setting directly in front of it. It made for a perfect location for some more fun trash the dress photos of her on the beach and laying in the sand.
