The environment of Galveston, Texas, made for a very unique and cool place to capture some awewome photos of people going about their day on the street and beaches. It’s a coastal town where history meets modern styles. With its roots digging into the 19th century, this island city has weathered its share of storms, literally and figuratively. But these days, it’s all about a mix of seaside relaxation and a dash of history.

What’s also cool, there’s a lot to see and do here. There is the Historic Pleasure Pier for some old-school amusement. Then there’s the Strand Historic District for a stroll through time. And of course, there are the beaches to kick back and soak up the Gulf breeze. Galveston is like that easygoing friend who’s seen a lot but always has a good time. It’s a spot where coastal charm and Gulf allure blend seamlessly.

It was the 4th of July when I came down here. While I was there, I embarked on a street photography session along the beach. The lively atmosphere was nothing short of spectacular. As I navigated through the dynamic scenes, capturing the celebration, the beachfront became the focal point of the day. The spirit of Independence Day could be seen among the families enjoying picnics and the roar of motorcyclists cruising by. The festive beachgoers and the presence of motorcyclists offered a unique narrative, making it a remarkable day for street photography in Galveston.

Underwater Portrait

I also brought my kit to allow me to take photos underwater in case I had a chance for a cool underwater pic. While I was hanging out at our hotel pool I saw this guy with his tattoos and I thought it would be awesome to get an underwater pic of him. So I asked and fortunately for me he obliged and I was able to get this cool pic of him.
