Photos: Florida – Hiking The Everglades

Everglades Trail

It’s been one of my dreams for years to visit the Florida Everglades, I had such a romantic idea of them. They seemed exotic, dangerous, and exciting. They turned out to be quite beautiful but also not as romantic as I envisioned them.

I finally got to go to see them in person this past Monday. I was in Miami for a work trip and had Monday, President’s day off. I decided to spend that day at the Everglades. I wanted to go on non popular trails and try to capture some wildlife. A ranger showed me on a map a couple great places to go and off I went.

I walked down two trails with my camera and lenses, I walked about a mile down each one, venturing off the trails into the mud and swamps the the hope to see some animals in their natural habitat. I didn’t see any alligators or panthers but I did see and capture some beautiful landscapes and birds.
