<encoded>I have a family photo from early January 1979 of our family by the plane prior to boarding for our flight from Abaco Bahamas back to Miami Florida. The paint colors are like the rendering of the Air South picture on this blog.

<encoded>I was so glad to see this &ldquo;Old&rdquo; Martin still in tact. I flew on the Martins years ago when TWA had them. They were slower than the Convairs but very stable. Thanks for sharing!

<encoded>I have them on a flash drive at home. I will be back at the house this afternoon. I will look for where I stored them early this evening. When I load them, I will tell you of the grand tour that he gave me of all of the planes that had, and the stories that he told me about John Wayne, when I told him that my two favorite movies were Flying Leathernecks, and The High and the Mighty.

Good job at calling out the right plane, well pretty darn close to the right plane. Where are the photos you took of it, I would like to them.</p>

<encoded>My sweetie pie and I were on our way back from Tennessee with an HM-293 Flying Flea in the back of our super crew pickup one afternoon, when I saw the Martin parked in the grass between the road, and a building. I pulled onto the grass, got out, and then noticed someone sitting inside, watching me. I walked inside, and asked if I could go inside, and look. He said sure, IF I could tell him what I was looking at. Without missing a beat, &ldquo;its a Martin 202.&rdquo;. He responded with, &ldquo;sure, go ahead&rdquo;. So I did. Luckily I had my camera with me, and I got a photo of the panel.

That&rsquo;s really interesting how you knew of N255S during that time. I was surprised to find its long storied history that had been documented by people. It is sad how it has gone downhill. Apparently these days it&rsquo;s unfortunately in really bad shape, they were such well-designed planes.</p><p>That&rsquo;s really cool about your website! Such an interesting niche.</p>

<encoded>Thank you Matthew for completing the story for me. I knew N255S well from when it was with Southern Airways and I was living in Atlanta (ATL) and later when it was with Pro Air Services when I was living in Miami (MIA). I knew the Pro Air owner and the pilots. It is sad to see the final fate of the airframe. Hopefully someone can restore and preserve the aircraft.<p>My mission with the AirlinersGallery.com photo library is to have a gallery for every airline, past and present, with the best photography to preserve aviation history.</p>

<encoded>Very cool Matt. It&rsquo;s cool that you don&rsquo;t take unique discoveries lightly. Most people probably drive right past this thing.
