An Abandoned Barge And Tugboat In La Paz, Baja California, Mexico

An abandoned barge And tugboat partially sunk caught my eye on my way back from visiting Playa Balandra in La Paz, Mexico. The sun had just started setting creating a beautiful orange on the barge. Thankfully I had my camera with me. I stopped and ran down to it and took as many photos as I could in the short time I had left. I wanted to go inside but because it was getting so dark and I didn’t have a flashlight with me I just focused on the exterior of it.

The large rusted barge adjacent to a partially sunk tugboat looked really interesting. It was a very unusual sight for sure. I wanted to learn more about their history and how they ended up there. I reached its history and could not find another photo of it anywhere online. Nor could I find it mentioned in any English or Spanish news.

There was a half-sunken tugboat next to it, I assume that tugboat was the one that was pulling that ship when they both sunk.

There were also a couple of men on it fishing when I was there taking photos. I wanted to go on it and explore it some more but because it was getting dark and I was so unfamiliar with it I felt it would be too unsafe to do that.
