Doing street photography in Seattle is a fun, unique, and challenging experience. The city is full of vibrant spots like Pike Place Market. A place where vendors sell fresh fish and flowers, and the air buzzes with excitement. Everywhere you look, there are interesting people and scenes. From musicians playing in the streets to folks enjoying a sunny day by the waterfront. The Space Needle towers above it all, giving the city a unique skyline that’s perfect for snapping some awesome photos.
But as lively and pretty as Seattle is, there’s a sadder side to the story. Walking around, you can’t help but notice the number of people using drugs right there on the sidewalks. It’s tough to see because it shows a different, more tragic part of the city that doesn’t get talked about as much. People struggling with addiction, mental health issues, and homelessness are a big part of the landscape. It makes you realize that not everything in Seattle is as bright and colorful as it seems at first glance.
Even though capturing the city’s energy is exciting, it’s also a reminder that there are some serious problems here.
