San Cristóbal de las Casas, Palenque, and Agua Azul waterfall along the Ruta Maya In Chiapas, Mexico were incredible and beautiful places. Chiapas was one of the most incredible places I had ever been. While there, I loved every minute of it. For this reason, I spent four days there, visiting several cities and Mayan ruins, and famous waterfalls. The weather became rainy and foggy once we got there. This was my first attempt at taking photographs seriously. I knew I was going to see some amazing stuff and I didn't ever want to forget it. So I bought a camera just for this trip. A cheap Sony point-and-shoot camera. It was there that my passion for travel photography was born. I had many more photos I took while there, unfortunately, they were all stolen except for these few I had put online. Palenque Mayan Ruins in Chiapas Palenque Mayan Ruins in Chiapas Sumidero Canyon San Cristobal is famous for having a giant canyon that rises above the city in the distance. This canyon has a river that runs through it that I was able to get a boat tour on. The canyon has some well-known formations including one that looks like human face and another that looks like a Christmas tree. While we were there it rained most of the time but it was still a beautiful city to visit. We were a week before their Saint Lucia festival. Though we missed the festival itself, we did get to enjoy the prefestival festive environment.
